Harris, Hill and Gibbons Veterinary Group are an RCVS accredited practice with an ‘outstanding’ accreditation for client services across all of our surgeries.
The Harris, Hill and Gibbons Veterinary Group consists of four small animal practices who offer a wide range of services:
History
The practice first started back in 1972 when Mervyn Harris opened the Bradford on Avon surgery. Following a successful first year, Mr Harris then opened the Westbury surgery in the Market Place in 1973. In 1977 he was joined by Nick Hill, who became a partner creating “Harris & Hill”. Our Warminster surgery also opened in 1977, making it a busy year! The final site to be opened was Trowbridge in 1981. For a long time this was the smallest of the four sites, until 2011 when the surgery was expanded. This made Trowbridge the biggest of the four and the main site for hospitalised in-patients.
In 1987 Trevor Warner joined the team, becoming a partner in 1990, making us “Harris, Hill and Warner” before leaving to start his own practice in 2005. Jayne Gibbons became partner in 1999, having previously joined the practice in 1988. She is the only former partner now not to have retired or moved on to new challenges.
In 2006 Harris, Hill and Gibbons was acquired by CVS (UK) Limited. This dissolved the partnership leaving Jayne and the rest of the team able to focus solely on caring and treating animals with CVS running the business side of things.
Now
Harris, Hill and Gibbons is a small animal practice and the types of pets we treat include cats, dogs and rabbits. For some general advice pages on these animals please view our pet advice section. Some of our vets are also happy to see your more exotic pets such as tortoises, snakes and lizards, but please be aware we do not have a specialist in exotic animals.
At Harris, Hill and Gibbons our aim is to treat any animal in our care as we would want our own pet to be treated, and we are proud of the high level of both veterinary and nursing care that we can offer you.
