
Rebecca Coleshill RVN
Head Nurse
Becky joined the Harris, Hill and Gibbons team in 2004 as a qualified veterinary nurse and became head nurse in 2005.
She grew up and worked in Africa and the Middle East, before returning to the UK in 1999 at the height of popularity of the TV show 'Animal Hospital'. This prompted her to work with animals, and she hasn’t looked back. She loves the challenges of working in a veterinary practice combined with the joys of being around animals all day every day.
At home Becky dotes on her favourite boys, Bernard and Moe, the feline arm of the family. She also has Risky, her rescue dog, who is a very familiar face with both staff and clients at all four branches. Risky and Becky are inseparable and are rarely seen apart.

Lizzie Brand RVN
Senior Nurse
Lizzie joined the Harris, Hill and Gibbons team in 2012 as a senior veterinary nurse. She is also a clinical coach which means she can train student nurses and has a BVNA certificate in wound care. Lizzie has a keen interest in feline behaviour, canine massage, wound care and carrying out nursing clinics within practice. In her spare time you will find her at the local riding stables or at home with her ginger and white cat called Emba, who she rescued as a five week old kitten. She also has a rabbit called Campion, and two goldfish called George and Stripe. Lizzie’s favourite animals are horses and cats.

Claire Drake RVN
Senior Nurse
Claire joined the Harris, Hill and Gibbons team in 2006 as a trainee nurse before qualifying in 2009 and going on to become senior nurse in 2012. She has a miniature dachshund called Yorkie, and enjoys horse riding, reading, and watching films in her spare time. Claire’s favourite animals are dogs, cats and horses.

Petra Howland RVN
Petra joined the Harris, Hill and Gibbons team in 2012 as a veterinary nurse. She enjoys assisting with operations and looking after the in-patients, especially when it comes to elderly pets, as they will always have a special place in her heart. In her spare time Petra has two young children to look after as well as Rocky the family dog, two male cats called Jo Black and Jimmy Snaps, and a gang of four guinea pigs. Both Petra and Rocky love going to obedience and agility classes. Petra’s favourite animals are cats, guinea pigs and dogs as they are great company.

Shelly Marklew RVN
Shelly originally joined HHG as a receptionist/animal nursing assistant before completing her nurse training and qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse in 2009. She left the practice in 2010 before returning in September 2017 to join the Warminster team. Shelly enjoys all aspects of nursing, especially inpatient care and post anaesthesia care. She also especially enjoys seeing our patients during their recovery period. Away from work Shelly likes to spend time with her family and friends. She has two cats, Molly and Ernie.

Lara Nicholls RVN
Lara joined Harris, Hill and Gibbons as a locum nurse in 2012, and liked it so much she stayed on permanently at the Warminster branch. She qualified as a nurse at a busy hospital in Brighton in 2008, before working in various locations around the country and abroad as a locum. Now settled and happy in Somerset she spends much of her time cavorting in the countryside with her young son and helping animal welfare charities in their campaigns. In practice she loves working among Warminster’s small but wonderful team and always appreciates a good hairy cuddle.

Rebecca Parfitt RVN
Rebecca joined Harris, Hill and Gibbons in 2014 as a work experience student. She is now a qualified veterinary nurse and works mostly at the Trowbridge branch. At home Bex has two cats called Pixie and Charlie. In her spare time she spends her days at the yard with her horse named Ginge, as well as enjoying spending time with her friends and family.

Rebecca Payne RVN
Rebecca originally joined Harris, Hill and Gibbons in September 2006 as a Saturday assistant, which involved assisting the vets and nurses and helping on reception. She began her nurse training in 2012 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in December 2016. Rebecca has a keen interest in reptiles, in-patient care and orthopaedic surgery. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and socialising with friends. At home Rebecca has a rescue Staffordshire bull terrier, a cat, a Californian king snake and a bearded dragon called Eddie Lizard.

Marie Pearce RVN
Marie originally joined the HHG team in November 2010 as a receptionist at the Westbury branch. She is now a registered veterinary nurse and travels around all four of our branches. Marie has a keen interest in behaviour and inpatient care. Away from work Marie enjoys taking part in canicross and bikejor with her two Labradors and two Springer Spaniels, all of which are named after various Indian foods! She can also often be found adding to her cat collection if a lost soul needs a home. Her favourite animal is the penguin.

Emilea Whatley Gibbs RVN
Emilea originally joined the Harris, Hill and Gibbons team in 2011 as an animal nursing assistant before qualifying as a veterinary nurse at the beginning of 2017. She is based in our Trowbridge surgery but you will often see her working in some of the other branches from time to time. Emilea loves the wide range of nursing duties that being a veterinary nurse offers but she does have a specific interest treating and hand rearing all youngsters. At home she has a German Shepherd, a Sprocker Spaniel, four cats, a horse and two tortoises. Emilea’s favourite animals are dogs.

Emily Small
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Emily joined Harris Hill and Gibbons in December 2015 as an animal nursing assistant in the Bradford on Avon branch, and began training as a veterinary nurse in September 2016. She is currently in her final year of training at Bath College. At home Emily has a 10 year old black and white cat called Cleo and a chocolate Cockapoo called William who she enjoys taking on long walks in the countryside. Outside work she likes spending time with family and friends. Her favourite animals are big cats!

Gabrielle Wheatley
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Gabrielle joined the team in May 2017 as an animal nursing assistant and is currently completing her nurse training. She has always loved animals from a young age after her mum bought their first Dalmatian puppy, Tia. At home Gabrielle has two horses who she competes regularly, a giant tortoise and two German Shepherd’s. In her spare time she likes to go on weekends away with her husband and their dogs Duke and Chief to visit their hometown, Peterlee.

Georgia Fuke
Patient Care Assistant
Always having a passion for animals in every shape and size, Georgia joined the practice in 2016 as an animal nursing assistant having previously worked as a dog walker and after studying animal science and management. Georgia travels between all the branches. Her favourite part about the job is spending time with the animals and working as part of the team. She will soon be starting her veterinary nurse training, which she is very excited for.
Georgia has her own menagerie at home with chinchillas, rabbits, horses, dogs and a cat. She enjoys trips away in the countryside camping with her boyfriend and dogs, as well as finding costal paths and woodland walks. Georgia also plays rugby for Westbury ladies.

Jo Reed
Patient Care Assistant
Jo joined the Harris, Hill and Gibbons team in 2005 as a receptionist and animal care assistant. At home she has two Basset Hounds called Snoop and Tink who enjoy sleeping and eating. Jo also has two young children, and in her spare time enjoys walking, cycling, going to the gym and shopping. Her favourite animals are dogs and tortoises.

Abbie Swain
Patient Care Assistant
Abbie joined the Harris Hill & Gibbons team in March 2018 as a patient care assistant and is looking forward to starting her nurse training in September. Previously Abbie worked as a supervisor in retail but her love and passion for animals has been from a young age, so she decided to change careers. At home she has a Border Collie called Jack who is currently training to be a sheep dog. Abbie also has two guinea pigs, Bubbles and Squeak, and a leopard gecko. Abbie enjoys helping her dad on their farm, especially when it is lambing season. Her favourite animals are dogs.
